Since 2011, strict security regulations have been put in place by both airlines and federal authorities to ensure that only "known and/or registered shippers" can book the transportation of a deceased person with commercial carriers.  This has made airline booking difficult for many funeral providers.  Screening requirements to comply with Transport Canada regulations are provided by MacKinnon & Bowes as a "Regulated Agent".    MacK & Bowes is the only licensed funeral provider certified as a "Regulated Agent" in Canada.

MacKinnon and Bowes offer an online reservation request option to reserve a flight for the shipment of human remains. This allows you to submit ship-out details online at your convenience. We will make all of the flight arrangements that you have requested and send you a confirmation of the flight itinerary via fax or e-mail.

As a "registered and known shipper" MacKinnon & Bowes enables you to make all necessary flight arrangements domestically and internationally to serve your client families. In-line ramp transfers and connections are also easily arranged through the world wide network of MacKinnon & Bowes affiliates.
